Transitions

2011 is coming to a close. Another year gone by. I would've said it has been an uneventful year. But it isn't. Lots of things has happened in the latter part of the year. Physically and emotionally. I guess it just reinforces the saying that emotional pain is worse than the physical one. Much harder to cure and easier to conceal.

2012 is so close that it actually scares me. It means enough waiting, no more procrastinating. Decisions to be made and priorities to be set. I want to be in someone else's priority, but for now, I need to just prioritize me. Not to be selfish, but to leave something for myself. It's been so long since I've been broken, and I have no intention of letting it happen again... But if it's worth it, I might just let it...

Beg Borrow and Steal

The brightness blinds me
On this gloomy Friday morning
Holding on to the night
That passed swiftly in my sleep
I'm poised to jump over the edge
Without looking or thinking clearly
The doubts still haunts me
And follows me all too freely
Begging for arms to hold on to
While I slip in this illusion
For something to grab my hands
While my life is turning its tables
Will the world let me borrow time
To have it quite stand still
In this crowded city life
Full of empty noise and fear
I'd let someone steal me away
With words of new beginning
Whisk me off my feet
With a promise of fairy tale ending

Wandering Aimlessly

I want to scream or shout or do something that'll calm me down.
I'm not angry, just tired I guess.
Will try to write and maybe I'll feel better.
Don't want to do it in Facebook 'cause I don't really want everyone to know and ask me questions.
I need to write more again.
I'm back to reading which is always good and keeps my mind from wandering aimlessly.
It's so gonna be a mess.
I'm a mess.
Who isn't?

I had a dream...

Well actually, come to think of it, "dreams".

A few years ago I dreamt that I was getting married. I was actually wearing a wedding gown and apparently on my way to the church. I saw the groom's face in my dream back then, he's someone I haven't seen yet. But now, I can hardly remember what he looked like.

I remembered about that dream because last night I dreamt that I already have a husband and a son. I don't remember my "husband's" face in the dream and the reason why I know he is my husband is the feeling we usually have in our dreams wherein we know the part a specific character is playing.

I no longer remember his face... but I still remember who I felt he is suppose to be…

♪ Let us pause in life's pleasures and count its many tears... ♪

I am loving this song...

I heard it first in Elizabethtown. I like this movie, I mean, it's like a someone telling you a story. A story about a life, a loss and the life after such...

There are also lots of songs played during the movie which are all lovely to the ears. This movie actually reminds me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I don't know why. Maybe because of Kirsten Dunst or maybe because of the mood of the characters... Either way, they're both beautiful movies (at least for me they are).

You have 5 minutes to wallow in the delicious misery. Enjoy it, embrace it, discard it and proceed. - Elizabethtown

Our March in Hong Kong

Cold, busy, different and the same. That's how I'd describe Hong Kong when we were there.

We arrived in HK at past 1am in the morning (which was sooo cold) and was able to get some sleep around 3am. We approximately got 4 hours of sleep before our first stop and adventure...

The Peak
We left the place we're staying a few minutes before 8am and as soon as the lift door opens, we were greeted by a cold, breezy Wednesday morning, 13C cold, that I had to go back up and add to my already 3 layers of clothing a shawl. Then, we're off to the peak!
We went there to see the view of city. There were a group of young students (probably around 7yr olds) with their parents conducting a survey with the tourists. I remembered having a hard time spelling the word 'Philippines' (that I would just write Phils instead) because the kids had to write the country of origin of each tourist they asks. We only stayed for an hour or so because there's not much to do up there and our main plan for the day is to go to Ocean Park!

Ocean Park
This theme park was huge and still expanding. I didn't expect it to be that big. It houses so many attractions that I think we only managed to ride and see/watch those that we think are interesting or fun.

Avenue of the stars
2nd day starts with some shopping and a walk in the Avenue of the Stars. Probably because of the chilly weather (owing to the fact that it is an open area by the bay where it's also very windy) this is the place where we goofed around the most. We were literally lying on the ground laughing and taking outrageous photos. We spent a couple of hours there and walking towards the Terminal where we'll ride a ferry that'll take us to Macau to meet our friend working in China!

Macau
Macau was ok. I think there's not much to see and do unless you're a gambler or you enjoy Casinos. Nevertheless, I think it is an interesting place. Interesting for me because they were colonized (i think) by the Portuguese. Their old buildings and structures and even the streets in Senado Square are definitely Portuguese inspired.

HK Disneyland
Last stop of the trip? - Of course is Hong Kong Disneyland. This park is definitely one for kids. We didn't get to do much here as some attractions are closed at that time and the weather is quite gloomy. It did rain in the afternoon just as we are about to leave for the airport.

I might come back to Hong Kong and next time try to allot enough time for everything.

After our 3 day HK trip, it's time to hit home (that is before going back to Singapore)!

We were in Hong Kong a few weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday.

It was cold, drizzling and lots of fun!

I'll probably write about it in detail in the next couple of days. :D

I doesn't really matter where you go, what's important and will make the trip worthwhile is the people you're with.

Have you met...

The (fraternal) twins?!?!!?

The naughty and mischievous MJ.

Marcel Jace playing with, umm, my travelling stuff...

The sweet and always smiling LJ.
Lex Julian being attacked by the Disney Characters!!

They are currently the apple of my eyes.
When they were around 1yr old

My sooo adorable and naughty nephews!
A few months before turning 2

I hope I'll see them again soon...

Angry Birds!!!

Angry Birds stuffed toy
I am not really a big fan of video games, same goes for phone games (applications). But when Angry Birds suddenly became a craze, I decided to give it a try. Yes it was addicting, sometimes frustrating and it is a really good game to pass time with. Unfortunately, like every other game I tried to play and download, my interest on it didn't last too long. Nevertheless, every Angry Birds merchandise I see makes me smile, so when I saw the little stuffed toy, I just had to buy it. I do have plans of throwing it at someone who kinda has a resemblance to its archenemy. ;)

The fight!

Walk walk walk

Just got home from the Vice Ganda show here in Singapore and I realized that the reason why I don't gain much weight is the fact that here, you have no choice but to walk most of the time and sometimes stand for hours...

As an illustration, this is a "portion" of the shaded path I walk on to get to the bus stop every morning.

So for those who are planning to come here, be sure you're ready for a "long walk".

I got it back

Remember the time I was grinched? Well, the reason for that was during our pre-Christmas dinner, instead of the usual Exchange Gifts we decide to give it a twist and did Grab-a-Gift instead. It was a bit hard to explain but I'll try to anyway.

Everyone has to bring a unisex gift. Then we'll draw on who goes first, second and eventually last. The one who goes first will pick his gift from the loot and open it in front everyone. The second one will do the same, however, before he picks a gift from the loot, he has a choice if he wants to grab the gift chosen by number 1. If he decides to grab number 1's gift, number 1 will have to then pick a gift from the loot to replace the one that was grabbed from him. It continues that way, so suffice to say, the last one to pick a gift is the luckiest as he is the one who can grab anybody's gift. Being a naughty and playful bunch that we are, a friend of mine decides to grab my gift (which I already really liked) to simply annoy me! It was all good fun. But since he only did it to annoy me, he returned it to me as late birthday present.

I still need to learn how to use it though... ;)

Oh and I also got another late birthday present! A black corsage bracelet which is so elegant that will go pretty well with a black dress. Now all that's missing is a guy and I'm all set for a date. Hmmm, I wonder if I get that as a present too...

Looking up

Looking Down

Human vs Cylon is up and running!

I already forgot how many times I've been to Universal Studios Singapore but the my last 2 trips there was so much fun! 2 weeks ago I went there with my friends who visited from Manila. Lucky us because there were so few people and there wasn't any sign of rain clouds in sight.

We did the rides and the shows and while resting we saw this:

Battlestar Gallactica is already up and running. We didn't expect it to be open until after a week (as announced). When we checked it out, it says "Technical Rehearsal" but is already open for public. The "Technical Rehearsal" bit didn't stop us from riding it 4 times (twice on human and twice on cylon)!

The picture was actually taken on the tracks itself (explaining the looks on everybody's face) while we are twisting and turning. We actually find the Cylon much better and more fun, probably because it'll turn you upside down at least 4 times in 75 seconds. But the placement of the camera in Cylon isn't as good as the one in Human so we didn't buy that picture. We were so lucky to have tried it and I also can't wait to do it again, as scheduled on the invite with another set of friends!

So after a week, I am in USS again! I don't mind though as I'm so excited to ride it over and over again. Since it is a preview for those invited, the streets of USS was literally empty.

That night, in total, we rode both 6 times! And we still can't get enough that we are going there again next week! Yipee! I'm excited to see the look on everybody else's face this time as I'm pretty sure there'll be lots of screaming and cursing!

See you next week USS!

One Wish Tonight

I wish I am pretty with sweet porcelain cheeks
Have a soft gentle voice that'll say goodnight when you sleep
Soft hands to hold yours in the cold rainy days
And eyes that'll warm your heart in so many ways
Things I wish I am and those I wish I'm not
Will haunt me tonight for it's all that I've got
So in this evening's slumber, dreams kindly be fair
And grant me one wish - just please be there

I have a new crush...

I have a new crush...

Aaron Johnson
I didn't realize it was him in the movie The Greatest.

I watched Kick Ass yesterday which is cool and reminded me of Kill Bill.

But I love him in Nowhere Boy.

Sigh... oh and he's engaged to the Nowhere Boy director (20+ his senior) who has given birth to their daughter last July... Lucky them...
